Russia & Ukraine: Estimate of winter kill is of 25-30%
Russias estimate of winter kill is 30 % of its winter acreage equal to 3.5-4.0 million ha.
UkrAgroConsult writes that 1.5 million ha of the Ukrainian winter crops will have to be replanted, i.e. about 25 %.
Others, e.g. the Ukrainian National Weather Center and the USDA are more negative. In both countries it will lead to expansions of the spring barley acreage.
